The First Five First Aid certification course is based on real-world experiences of people who have been caught in emergency situations such as shootings, bombings, workplace accidents, or natural disasters. In those critical minutes before first responders arrive, you may have to rely on your own skills to survive and to assist those around you.

First Five First Aid will teach you how to recognize and manage life-threatening medical emergencies using the available resources around you until help can arrive.

First Five First Aid teaches how to stop traumatic bleeding how to treat shortness of breath, cardiac, brain, allergy, burns and shock emergencies using only basic first aid tools that might be available to you.

Instructor Biography

Jeffrey S. Imel, WEMT, NREMT
Emergency Medical Services Instructor

Jeffrey S. Imel is a Prehospital Emergency Medicine Educator whose unwavering sense of enthusiasm, passion, and encouragement have earned him the reputation as a service-driven leader within the Emergency Medical Services community. Both compassionate and dedicated, he is on a mission to bring calm to chaos to people during their most difficult and often most traumatic time of their lives. However, as one person, he realizes his outreach is limited unless he shares his knowledge with others. He believes that education is a force multiplier and by teaching others with little to no medical background how to effectively respond to medical emergencies of all kinds, even more lives can be saved.

Jeffrey is the President of First Five First Aid. In addition to his Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT) and National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) designations, Jeffrey S. Imel is a Certified Emergency Medical Services Instructor (NFPA 1041 Level II) and Licensed Emergency Medical Technician.
