Thirty-five percent of people who suffer a traumatic injury in the workplace
die within five minutes – long before first responders arrive.

We train your employees to save lives during the critical first few minutes
after an incident using items found in your workplace first aid kit.

The First Five First Aid certification course is based on real-world experiences of people who have been caught in emergency situations such as shootings, bombings, workplace accidents, or natural disasters. In those critical minutes before first responders arrive, your employees may have to rely on their own skills to survive and to assist those around them.

First Five First Aid will teach your employees how to recognize and manage life-threatening emergencies in those first five minutesThe course teaches how to stop traumatic bleeding, how to treat shortness of breath, cardiac, brain, allergy, burns and shock emergencies using only basic first aid tools. The First Five First Aid certification is approved by the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA, American Camping Association and several colleges and universities.

The First Five First Aid course will increase first aid preparedness and confidence in your organization. Employees taking this course will learn how to use the items found in your company’s first aid kit to save lives. They will gain the confidence to treat co-workers in an emergency by learning the Patient Assessment System – a checklist used by all Emergency Medical professionals. Your employees will spend half of the class time actually practicing what they learn during hands-on scenarios. We bring a hands-on learning environment with high-fidelity workplace medical emergency scenarios to build student muscle memory and poise under pressure.

First Five First Aid Certification Course Description

  • No prior first aid training required
  • Two-year internationally recognized certification.
  • Certification card upon successful completion of course

The First Five First Aid Course is a blended experience of classroom and experiential learning. Fifty-percent of student time is spent rotating as mock rescuer and mock patient in realistic care-giving scenarios, making the most of learning-by-doing and forming muscle memory. Many accidents are preventable and improper care of trauma can compound even simple injuries. Very few first aid courses teach you how to provide emergency care in a setting that acknowledges that it takes, on average, seventeen minutes for first responders to arrive on scene.
